This expedition takes riders from the vibrant streets of Kathmandu to the legendary Upper Mustang, one of the world’s most unique and culturally preserved regions.
The journey follows an extraordinary route through Pokhara, Kalopani, Ghami, Lo Manthang, Yara, Tsarang, Muktinath, Kusma, and Bandipur, offering a perfect combination of off-road riding, scenic mountain roads, and authentic Himalayan experiences. Ride across rugged trails, deep valleys, and traditional villages while witnessing spectacular views of the world’s highest peaks, including several mountains rising above 8,000 meters.
Highlights of this Nepal motorbike adventure include exploring the ancient caves of Upper Mustang, visiting the historic walled city of Lo Manthang, discovering the sacred Luri Monastery, experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of Muktinath Temple, and crossing some of Nepal’s incredible suspension bridges. Riders will also explore the traditional villages of Ghami, Yara, Kagbeni, and the beautiful apple orchards and monastery area of Marpha.

Arrival at Kathmandu Airport, where the Offhorizon Adventure team welcomes you and transfers you to the hotel. After check-in, riders can relax or explore Thamel. In the evening, we conduct an expedition briefing and bike introduction.
Ride approx. 200 km along scenic highways following rivers and mountain valleys. Pokhara offers stunning views of the Annapurna range and is one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities.
Ride approx. 125 km along the Kali Gandaki River, passing through deep gorges and mountain landscapes. Kalopani is a peaceful Himalayan village with incredible views.
Ride approx. 110 km as the landscape transforms from green hills to high-altitude desert terrain. Enter the Upper Mustang region, riding through rugged trails and dramatic valleys.
Ride approx. 40 km to Lo Manthang, the ancient walled city and former capital of the Mustang Kingdom. Explore monasteries, royal palaces, and traditional Tibetan architecture.
Ride toward Tsarang with an optional detour to Yara village and Luri Monastery. This section offers remote off-road riding and access to one of Mustang’s most unique historical sites.
Ride approx. 85 km through dramatic landscapes to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, surrounded by high-altitude desert terrain.
Ride approx. 120 km, descending from Mustang into greener valleys. The route passes deep gorges and suspension bridges.
Ride approx. 130 km to Bandipur, a beautiful hilltop town known for its preserved architecture and panoramic Himalayan views.
Ride approx. 140 km back to Kathmandu through scenic countryside roads. In the evening, we celebrate the successful completion of the expedition.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for departure.
Motorcycle & Fuel
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc motorcycle provided for the entire expedition. Fuel is included for the full tour.
Expert Team Support
An experienced expedition leader, front and rear riding guides, and a professional mechanic will support you throughout the journey.
Backup & Logistics
A backup support vehicle will carry luggage, spare parts, and provide assistance whenever required.
Accommodation & Meals
Stay in comfortable hotels, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Permits
All permits for restricted areas such as, Upper Mustang and Annapurna are included.
Safety Support
First aid kit and oxygen cylinder are available for high-altitude safety.
Luggage Support

This is a moderate to challenging expedition, with a mix of paved roads and off-road terrain. Riders should be comfortable handling motorcycles on uneven surfaces.
We provide the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450cc, which is ideal for both on-road and off-road Himalayan riding.
The best time is May to October, as Upper Mustang lies in a rain-shadow region and remains accessible even during monsoon.
